I HISTORY MISS CLARA MEYER Our history teachers play an important role in our daily scope of world problems both of yesterday and today. By conscientious- ly studying the trials and errors of those who have gone be- fore, the youth of America can prepare themselves for the world of tomorrow. LA CLIACE MISS HENRIE'I'l'A VON TLINGELN Head of Department MISS BESSIE HERRIN , i By learning how to write and speak fluently one or several of the languages offered at Classen, tomorrow's intemational rela- tions will progress in understanding and agreement. With the aid of films, records, oral recitations, and reading lessons, the practical usage of alien tongues is brought before the student. One teutonic language and three romance languages are taught MR' ARTHUR KINCAID here at Classen. They are Latin, French, Spanish, and German. These courses, like curricular English, contain both literature and grammar. The courses offer six semesters of French, four of German, and eight of Latin and Spanish. SCIENCE Facts, the basis of Science, are taught to us by con- scientious teachers. In the laboratories we learn Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Geology, while in the wild blue yonder we study Aviation. All of these sciences enable us to be better prepared for the drama of life after graduation. MR. LEIOY D. FORD MR. CARL SHAFER I DLISTRIAL ARTS For those of our student body who have ambitions to become engineers, architects, airplane and automobile mechanics, draftsmen, or cabinet makers, courses are offered in which they can determine whether or not these ' are the jobs for which they are suited.
