lndu trial Art Every year since the beginning of the second World War, Classerfs Industrial Arts Department. along with many other schools, has been given a project to do for the Red Cross. This year's project was to construct six book shelves and twenty-five folding chairs. Nlany of the students who have studied mechanical drawing or wood-A work in high school have gone into interesting and worthwhile vocational fields. People in these vocations played an important part in the war effort and will continue this work in the post war period of reconstruction. MR. GEORGE XY. BRUCHER MR. FRANK li. DEE KING Not Pirmrnd Besides just teaching the members of their classes how to play tennis, ping-pong, football, and other sports, the teachers of the Physical Educa- tion Department teach good sportsmanship and stress fair play. The students learn to cooperate with and to respect the rights of others. Training of this sort is a valuable asset, not only in sports. but also in' everyday life. Dancing is offered to girls, in addition to the many sports.
