ovial 'tudie Department The field of Social Studies deals with the univer- sality of culture. Every nation has learned from every other nationg and, today, we have come to realize the need and importance of that knowledge. In the study of history, students learn that all nations have had a part in the progress of the world. The goal of the department of social studies is to teach the fact that only through our tolerance and under- standing may we live as world citizens of good will. ln carrying out this idea, the department offers classes in social problems, International Relations, Latin American history, and government, in addition to courses in United States and World history.
