ELLIS MISS BESSIE HERRIN The Language Department of Classen offers four years of Latin, three of German, two of French, and four of Spanish. This year it published the twenty- first consecutive edition of the Lux Classensis and the ninth consecutive edition of the Melting Pot. It also sponsors the Pan American Forum. Besides teaching the languages of foreign coun- tries, the department strives to develop in the stu- dents, an appreciation for the customs and culture of foreign countries, thus bringing about a feeling of fellowship.
