mf, ,uw mmm Mrs. Helen Nance Bean wins the cup for having been here the longest. She's worked as Classen registrar for 9 years, and people are beginning to call her fixture . Before then she went to school here. Her duties are to file scholar ships and awards from Classen, keep the record of everyone in school, send transcripts to other schools and universities distribute new pupils' progress folders, and keep permanent active, inactive, and graduate files Mrs. Mavanee Iohnson has been Mr. Bakers secretary for four years. As a sample of her intelligence, we offer the fact that although she schooled at Central, she came to Classen to work. Not ALL Centralites are stupid, we reckon. She has to remind Brother Baker about his appointments, handle his correspondence, act as teachers' nursemaid, meet parents and outsiders which come to the office, select and assign duties to office assistants, handle special reports, bulletins, and requisitions, check orders, and keep fresh flowers on her desk. Miss Isalona Carter has been attendance clerk here for three years and attended school here also. All she has to do is grow gray checking attendance, call mothers of truant Comets, refuse all bribes, and keep being a good old gal. Elo Beth Todd, leanne Collins, and Betty lane Swanson sort at- tendance cards preparatory to compiling the absenteelist.
