Million Dollar Band entertains audiences with energetic music Tk« Million Dollar Band, under the direction of William McMosley. began drills and rehearsals in August in preparation for the year's marching events and festivals. In November, the band traveled to El Paso. Texas, to participate in a marching competition and the Sun Bowl Parade. While in Texas, the musicians earned the title of best-out-of-state marching band. The concert and symphonic bands practiced throughout the year, learning sight-reading skills and rhythms. The bands participated in a spring festival and planned a tour. Jazz bands I and II competed in jazz festivals at Riverside. California. Reno, and Chaffey College. Both bands had full membership, an improvement over last year's program. To raise money for equipment and tours, the groups sold fruit cakes and held concerts at several local businesses. iCARLTON £ CO.
