Vocal ensembles add harmony, enjoyment to all performances M usicel talent was showcased among four Clark vocal groups: Girls' Glee. Mixed Choir. Madrigals, and Counterpoint. The first two. Girls' Glee and Mixed Choir, performed in concerts throughout the year, including Christmas programs at the Boulevard and Meadows Malls. Girls' Glee shared a concert appearance with Chaparral High School, and the Mixed Choir appeared on a special Christmas program on channel 5. The Madrigals, richly dressed in Elizabethan costumes. provided entertainment for various civic groups, including luncheon meetings of the Kiwanis Club and Junior League. They. too. made Christmas appearances at local shopping malls. Counterpoint's season was highlighted by a performance with Paul Anka at Caesars Palace during his December 27-January 5 engagement. Flagtwirlers add life to assemblies, games with stylish routines The flagtwirlers worked during the year to add spirit and life to the pep assemblies and games. The group, composed of twelve girls and one alternate, had only four returning girls from last year's squad with nine new faces. Attending camp this summer at Pepperdine University in Malibu Beach. California, the team won first place for their home routine. They also brought home a superior trophy and numerous individual awards. During the year the twirlers performed with the band at Halftime Review which was held at the Silver Bowl. The head flagtwirler was junior Julie Parker.
