58 Honors Education expanded: seniors master tests, foreign youth learn Each year Clark seniors show scholastic achievement by winning various awards. This year was not different, as seniors took honors at the Sun Youth Forum, in NMSQT. Gemco. Century III. and Senate Youth Program. Seniors Bryan Hildebrand. Monica Smith. Craig Robinson. Allison Rittenhouse. and Paul Fallon all qualified as National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists. Paul Fallon and Kris Schultz took honors as Gemco Scholarship area finalists. In order to qualify, each had to answer two questions dealing with current events. Their spontaneous answers were judged by a panel of judges. At the annual Sun Youth Forum. Senior Doug Fuller was chosen as a finalist. He then summarized his group’s views on a local television show. Craig Robinson won the statewide, competition for the Senate Youth Leadership award, thereby winning a trip to Washington to attend seminars with other state winners. He also was a Century III Leadership semi-finalist on the state level. During the 80-81 school year Clark had four exchange students. To participate, a student filled out a questionnaire and underwent an interview. When the students reached the United States, they stayed with host familios for their entire visit.
