Powder puff teams battle for supremacy but finish with 6-6 tie T he traditional powder puff game, sponsored by the Varsity Club, pitted Steve's Studs, coached by Steve George, against Red's Raiders, coached by Steve McCauley, in a battle of determination, skill, and competitiveness. Despite excellent play on both sides, the final score was tied 6-6. The actual game was a climax to a week of fierce team spirit as the female gridders endured sore muscles and bruised flesh during the daily practices to gain a glimpse of the effort required of their male counterparts. The game, though technically flag football, still provided some physical contact and many spills. Completing the traditional scenes were male cheerleaders, all Varsity Club members, whose antics added humor to the sidelines. mg pensively. Patty Scarborough contemplates the outcome of tho game. 2.
