28 Dracula walks again as Clark thespians exhibit acting ability Tho Clark Drama Department presented Dracula. the world-famous vampire thriller, as the first production of the year on November 19. 20. and 22. Set in an old Victorian mansion, the play involves Dr. Seward, his fiancee Lucy, and their mysterious neighbor. Count Dracula. Lucy is suffering from a strange disease which concerns her aunt. Mrs. Harker. and matters are not helped by Renfield with his bizarre behavior. Dr. Seward summons the help of Professor Van Helsing and. under her questioning, the odd facts of Lucy's case begin to emerge. Once the professor meets the count, she suspects the horrible truth and sets out to destroy him. Special effects, including a smoke machine, and dramatic lighting provided atmosphere for the production. Adding a whimsical touch to the play was the melodramatic acting which heightened the suspense. ’Dracula'
