JV basketball team holds strong position with potent defense Clark not only possessed one of the most talented varsity basketball teams, but also fielded a well-rounded junior varsity squad. Assistant Coach Craig Ballew felt the JV's best asset was their defensive ability, which helped to hold their opponents' points down to a minimum. Coach Ballew felt that the team's only weak point was their lack of experience. a problem with all junior varsity teams. The coaches considered the team to be well-rounded, one which they feel will be an asset to the 1981-82 varsity squad. Ballew commented that both he and Head Coach John Nelson were proud of their players: They're hard working kids who always give 100 per cent effort and all have positive attitudes. Averian Parrish was the leading scorer and played consistently well all year. Other strong players included Michael Thrower. Greg Peeples. Rob Mac-Cachren. Scott Scarborough.
