Tall Flags exhibit skill in perfecting routines The 1980-81 Charg er Brigade was led by captain Leslie McFredrick and advised by Ms. Donna Kuhle. Both shared the thought that the group had had a very successful year. During football season the girls were on the field each morning at 7 o'clock to perfect their routines for the crowd's entertainment. Their precision routines added color and flair to the band's halftime performances and marching appearances. During the summer the girls went to camp in Long Beach. Californio, and returned with second place in competition and a ribbon for the most spirit. At the end of August the girls held car washes to raise money for new uniforms. Bunn ies give support to Clark soccer team Throughout the year, the SoccerBunnies goal was to get more people involved in soccer, because most of the games showed very poor attendance. To accomplish this goal, the Soccer Bunnies held special projects to publicize soccer games like filling the halls of Clark with signs, encouraging people to go to the games, and putting messages on the marquee. All 48 members of the JV and Varsity Soccer Bunnies assumed many responsibilities throughout the year. These included keeping the game balls as well as recovering the balls during the games, cheering, supplying oranges and gum to the soccer players, and holding candy sales to support their activities. They were chosen at the beginning of the year through grades, past participation in school activities. and a final interview. Mrs. Karen Girard, who has advised Soccer Bunnies for the past six years, and Mrs. Sharon Weller both advised the Soccer Bunnies. Soccer Bunnies 99
