FRESHMAN HISTORY On September 6, 1950, the Freshman of this county walked into Clark County High School not knowing which door to turn into and very unassured. At first we were as lost as a worm in an apple cart, but finally we realized the upper classmen wou1dn't harm us. After we got situated we chose our class officers. Irene Stevens was chosen President, Robert Amy as Vice Pres- identg Janie Wagoner as Secretary-Treasurerg and James Tho- mas as class representative. On September 27, 1950, we went through that terrible procedure every poor freshman has to go through--initiation. There were girls ,flittering around in bathing suitsg they must have been cold bloodedg some people hadn't taken time to get dressed before coming to school and some hadn't even shed their winter nlong handlesn. Then came the Freshman Frolic. We sponsered it on Oct. 15, 1950. It proved to be quite a success. This year we have 14 pupils in our class. We hope everyone in the Freshman class has enjoyed his first year at Clark High and finds the next three years as successful. 19
