On May 18th, 1951, fifteen more seniors are going out into the world on their own as have many many other seniors in the past. As I sit here wondering what to do, as John Henman out there on his ranch at Iona, harder than he ever did in school, but Karen too, so maybe that is the reason. Berneice is now out on her own ranch at she, you may be sure, doesn't miss any of those usual, I see working much is down there Kilgore, but dances around the country, as she never did when who was attending nGood Old Clark High . There is that studious Dewayne, who, between the hours that he spends overhauling his Ford so that he can still take Peggy aecourtin', and the time he spends with her, has but little time to spend taking care of his pigs.He is still doing quite well in the pig-raising industry. Harry seems to wear a beard all the time now on his fancy farm up Humphrey wayg it may be because he doesn't have time to shave it off. He has a group of boys from Clark High, as it is still called, teaching them all the new rules in basketball and all the other sports he participated in when he was going there. Gloria is keeping house very well for Don, since she's been thinking about it for all these years, while he is the County Agent in Dubois and is showing very fine-looking stock now. Louise is very busy now too, keeping books for Bill fwillesj, now that he is out of the army and is working in their store, away up there in the canyon. 10 I hear say Ed is in a business all of his own down California way. He's got himself a nice chemistry shop 'and is also putting out some fine looking snow planes with all kinds of new fang-dangled motors. Don't you know that isn't the place to build them, Ed???? No snow down there, or are there other reasons???? June has finally moved up to Montana with Jay and is living happily on a ranch up there after all those wonderful days at Dubois. I got a letter from Lucy the other day, and she and Lynn are still out there on Medicine Lodge and they are building a little more on their house each year in their spare time. They must have quite a house by now. Dorothy is keeping herself busy while she's waiting patiently for Don CCraigJ to return home from the army. One should just see the nice looking cattle and horses that gal has out there at Kilgore. Norman and Kay fLemons7 have a nice place down in Mex- ico, his heart's desire now. He is the head manager in an office for a HIDALGO. They seem to be making out very nicely down there. It seems I heard the other day that Judy and Wendell are coming along fine out there at Birch Creek, with Wendell sowing the wheat and working in the hay crop every sum er and Judy still studying away on her chemistry and using her little typewriter in her spare time. Good Luck, Judy. Berdell McCurdy is making quite an advancement in the world. Every car that comes along and can't quite make it over Monida Pass, stops at Berdell's million dollar place for repairs and tune-up jobs and they sure get them too. Berdell's wife, who is a secret to everyone, stands back and looks on. 11 SENIOR CLASS On May 13, 1951, Baccaluareate was held in the L.L.3. Church at Dubois, Idaho. At first we were as lost as a worm in an apple cart, but finally we realized the upper classmen wou1dn't harm us. After we got situated we chose our class officers. Irene Stevens was chosen President, Robert Amy as Vice Pres- identg Janie Wagoner as Secretary-Treasurerg and James Tho- mas as class representative. On September 27, 1950, we went through that terrible procedure every poor freshman has to go through--initiation. There were girls ,flittering around in bathing suitsg they must have been cold bloodedg some people hadn't taken time to get dressed before coming to school and some hadn't even shed their winter nlong handlesn. Then came the Freshman Frolic. We sponsered it on Oct. 15, 1950. It proved to be quite a success. This year we have 14 pupils in our class. We hope everyone in the Freshman class has enjoyed his first year at Clark High and finds the next three years as successful. 19 V1 of v 4 W1 FMQZMA4 Q If y .ny I ill. -. 44, HI .1 ,,, 1 4 - ,4- . 4 . .4,. - , . .. 1 '4.I . ,' I, I A +I.
