The ship could not he run without the cap- tain and his ship's otlicers. Principal Earl Thompson, the faculty, secretarial staff, and maintenance men all help steer the course toward greater shores of citizenship and schol- arly achievement. The science department together with mathematics will tum out students to navigate world courses and lceep the engines running. The study of English Speech and literature helps us to see clearly the guidin stars of high ideals and philosophies expresses hy men of the past. Finally, we ourselves learn to give to the future hy learning to formulate and express our own ideas. History and civics departments teach us how to profit from good and evil courses ot past voyages. The language department will help us form friendly relations as we touch foreign ports. Home economics lceeps things running smoothly in the galley. Music and art brighten the daily taslcs of our voyage. The crew of students signs on for a' six year voyage. The first two years we serve as calvin boys, just greenhorns learning the scholarly ropes. Ninth and tenth grades find us learning to set our own course and choosing our own subjects. We discover new alailities and interests in the assimilation of lmowledge and develop- ment ot slcills. ln our Fifth year, as Juniors, we serve as second mates getting ready for our big final year. As Seniors memhers of the Student Body we worlc hard to gather the final lcnfowl-' edge that will steer us on to johs and college. M
