Printed Paperw was the cry of the Citrus Cougar Growls staff this year. After crusading for one semester, the staff succeeded in putting out two editions of a printed paper. Because of lack of funds, they were forced to return to the mimeographed paper. To raise money for the paper they sponsored a cake sale. Theye were in debt most of the year but endeavored to persuade the Student Body to back them. Ioyce McClendon and Mary Ann Clements worked as co-editors. Under the direction of Ioan White, the class was taught techniques of writing and the operation of the mimeograph machine. A field trip to the Progress-Bulletin in Pomona was one of the class activities this year. The staff was rained out of the Activity Room, which was their classroom and office, at the beginning of the year. They retreated to the physics room until such time as they could return to the Activity Room. The crusade for the printed paper was given up near the end of the year, and the class worked hard to put out a good mimeographed issue.
