Coached by Ray Burford the team had tremendous offense averaging over 55 points a game and holding their opponents to under 40. The team should be a big plus for the upcoming teams at Circle- The sophomore team had a disappointing season. Lack of ex- perience seemed to hurt the team, but they never gave up. Desire and attitude were Well coached by Bill Blackerby though the team almost always fell short. Hopefully, next year will be more promising. he sa hiss, Sophs fall short

Girls show improvement The girls basketball team proved, in the 1976-77 season, that experience can help. With five returning seniors the team came out with five wins to show the best girls season ever at Circle High. A combination of determination and hard work showed in every game the girls played. Laurie Hiatt, freshman, gave the team needed height and also made the all-league team. 1. Cindy King consults with coach on important matter. 2. Seniors Kathy Wallace , Cindy King, Wava Anderson, and Lane Chase kept team spirit high throughout the season. 3. Laurie Hiatt drives for shot under the basket. 5.
