SO1C1018..S'biC3 EODOIS The Class of '77 gained recognition in both acade- mic and athletic endeavors. Lane Chase, Scott Denton, Cathy Stagner, Mike Howrey, Cindy King and Dick Watson were named State of Kansas Scholars. Accepting an honor scholarship from K-State was Lane Chase. Scott Denton was awarded an academic scholarship from Southwestern and Cathy Stagner earn- ed a scholarship to Kansas University. Cindy King re- ceived the Leadership Award from Bethany College. Dick Watson received a scholarship from Wichita State University. Seven seniors were awarded scholarships from But- ler County Community jmaior College. Those given academic scholarships were Nancy Wilson, Janet Fra- ser, Mark Haas, and Tracy Crisler. Perry Banwart, Paul Good, Steve Davis and Mike Howrey accepted athletic scholarships from BCCJC. Mary jo Lill was presented the Betty Crocker Fam- ily Leader Award, a Kansas State University Service Award, and a Skelly Foundation Scholarship Award. Ken Dimick had his choice of several music sch- olarships. 1. Lane Chase, Valedictorian, and Mary jo Lill, Sal- utorian. 2. TOP TEN SENIORS. J uniors come together Doug Adlesperger Larry Allison Kent Baker Lisa Banks Doug Barber The junior Class of 76- 77 found the year to be full of challenge and change They were faced with many responsi- bilities. The class began with the build- ing of the class Homecoming Float. To raise money for the Prom , the Juniors sold hats and worked in the concession stand during ballgames. The class had representatives in every school activity. With only one more year to go the Juniors eagerly look forward to the future.
