SO1C1018..S'biC3 EODOIS The Class of '77 gained recognition in both acade- mic and athletic endeavors. Lane Chase, Scott Denton, Cathy Stagner, Mike Howrey, Cindy King and Dick Watson were named State of Kansas Scholars. Accepting an honor scholarship from K-State was Lane Chase. Scott Denton was awarded an academic scholarship from Southwestern and Cathy Stagner earn- ed a scholarship to Kansas University. Cindy King re- ceived the Leadership Award from Bethany College. Dick Watson received a scholarship from Wichita State University. Seven seniors were awarded scholarships from But- ler County Community jmaior College. Those given academic scholarships were Nancy Wilson, Janet Fra- ser, Mark Haas, and Tracy Crisler. Perry Banwart, Paul Good, Steve Davis and Mike Howrey accepted athletic scholarships from BCCJC. Mary jo Lill was presented the Betty Crocker Fam- ily Leader Award, a Kansas State University Service Award, and a Skelly Foundation Scholarship Award.
