Tennis is relatively new at Circle. The boys have been in action for two years, and the girls for one. Both teams displayed a variety of strokes, slams, and lobs. The 13-membered girls' team finished second in the Valley Cen- ter Invitational. They also man- aged to defeat teams that had been playing for years. Winning the most matches for the girls were Lori Watson and Cindy King. Two returning players for boys were David Mark and jay Buckner. Representing the team at most of the meets were Bob Nellans, Ben Whiteside, David Mark, jay Buckner, Dick Watson, and Steve King. pg. 56 1. Cross country wins 19 medals Run, run. . .pick it up. . . Loose and easy. . . Run. . . Another mile to go. . . Four seniors, two sophomores and one freshman made up the 1975 Cross Country team. A total of 19 medals and a first in the Circle Invitational Cross Country meet provided a very suc- cessful year. The fastest time for the two- mile run was 10:49 by Chris Turner. 1.
