Varsity posts 4-5 record T-Birds have best season 1n five years What was the number?. . . Look how big they are. . .What's the next p1ay?. . . Two minutes left in the game. . . Remember the count. It's on two. . . are only a few of the thoughts passing through the minds of the team as they played each week. Organization was very impor- tant to the three new coaches, Ray Burford, Gary Elliott, and Steve Stenholm, as they worked and put together an inspired team. The at- titude of the team was changed from one of doubt to one of confi- dence. With the best season in five years, the T-Birds posted a 4-5 re- cord.

In their second year, the girls' basketball team gained two new coaches, Stephanie Norris and Ellen Blevins. With hard work and determina- ' tion, guard Cindy King made the all league team. Honorable mention was awarded to Lane Chase and Christie Jordan. The overall season record was 1-18.
