The football spirit of the players and coach was captured by the students and demon- strated by record attendance at all games. The season opened with a victory over Poqvuson 13 to 0. In the next two weeks we were defeated by a strong Morrison eleven, but bounced back upsetting Kempsville 6 to 0. With Roberts, Fuller, and Weddle playing outstanding ball the Truckers lost a close game to their traditional rivals, the Cradock Admirals. After once more tasting defeat at the hands of Suffolk, the Truckers hit their stride, beating Alexander Park, Deep Creek, and Broad Creek in that order.
