The return to school in September brought with it enthusiastic ideas for the '47 Trucker. However the expectant hopes of the Annual Staff could not become realities until it had fulfilled a financial obligation created the previous year. Through the diligent, untiring efforts of the staff, its sponsor, Miss Williams, and the Senior Class, compensation was made in the form of an auction sale of merchandise, which was generously donated by Mer- chants of Portsmouth. For this and its work on the Annual, the Stafi deserves worthy praise. Countnymen, 1947 4 First Row, fleft to rightl: Leona Tyler, Helen B.
