Sixth row: lillllllllt YII4 U5 Ban If a vote were taken to find the school organization with the most school spirit, the band would win by a huge margin. Although the band started the year with only twenty-seven members, three majorettes, and no drum major, by the first of May, it had reached a membership of forty- six, plus seven majorettes and a drum major. In addition to this, three members moved from Fallon and one left school for matrimony. This public spirited organization played for all football games but one, all but two basketball games, for the VFW parade, for all school music concerts, and presented one concert in the city park. Included in the band are fourteen clarinets, eight cornets, three alto saxophones, four alto horns, three flutes, two tubas, five percussion instru- ments, three trombones, one oboe, one baritone saxophone, one glocken- spiel, one bass viol. Colleen Moore was named drum major. J. S. Telecky is the band's director. Practices are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9:40 to 10:20.
