This was due in part to the competence of the officers. -vice- president Jody Brion Honor Society is an organization that hebs to encourage good grade point averages and community and school involvement. its a good opportunity to receive recognition for service. -president Diana Dial Getting involved in the community and school ts one of the oljectives of the National Honor Society, One of the main activities included the Annual Canned Food Drive. Over 800 cans were brought in with a large number of those coming from a band concert where admission was a can. The group ako sold pens and pencik, ushered at band and choir concerts, timed debates, had a booth at the SFC carnival, and sold pins and tickets for the Miss ChugiakeEagle River Pageant. induction was held April 11 in the library with lo new members being inducted. Prospective members were judged in the areas of scholarshp, service, citizenship, character, leodetshp, and academics. This year freshmen who QUOHHGU were allowed admittance, changing an old pohcy. Honor Society was sponsored by Mr, lm Taylor. When asked about the club Mr. Taylor said 'Everything they 've done has gone smoothly. Those in it are displaying leadershp as they should- they are performing as l expected Junior Maren Latin provides the ight for the induction. kv-.36 v-.4 We do need volunteers, begs President Diana.
