Actors Present 'Wicked Stage ' As Spring Plays People, young or old have a compelling desire to express themselves more completely, in drama, choir, sports, and etc. This is what builds the character of the youth! -Jac Asbury 'Stage creatures are totally immoral and more concerned with money than art. -Pamela Ash its been . . . More than lie -Chris Jarvis Was that straight jacket really necessary? -Bryon Bruckner Actors are Une on the stage, but put them out in the real world and they screw everybody up! -Kim Cherry 'Some of my best friends are Thespians, -John Lenz This years spring production included two one act plays based on one central theme, the Hdisreputable reputation of actors and their scandalous careers. The Urst of the two, The Hattering Word , dealt with one mans attempt to change a congregations negative outloolw of actors to one of more appreciation. This was done through his constant Hattery of the individuab ln the end, he wins his much sought-after appreciation, Atlantic Qty was a story of two parents and their attempt to sway their children from acting. They rely on their own acting talents to portray grief and therefore persuade their devoted children to go baclf to school. Both plays were chtected by Ms. Gay Monteverde. Atlantic Qty was wntten by George Arnold of Anchorage. He contributed greatly to the play in staging, he ako allowed the Chugials Thespians to put on the play at the State Tournament, Randoknh and Tony are seen here trying to calm mother Amanda B seemingly beset with grief at the notion of her two young sons striving toward malfing a career in acting 96
