Q M PETER A. STEVENSON CHS PRINCIPAL As the busy days fly by at Christian High, there is a man who is essen- tial to the progress of our school but who often goes unnoticed un- less we receive a slip asking us to visit him in his office. Our principal puts in long hours in the office, on the telephone, and in study, so that he can also teach. He is always ready to counsel us when we need help, either spirit- ual or academic. He takes care of ,unending details to make the work of the faculty run smoother. When we vacation, he works on. During the first weeks of school he puts in countless hours of time getting our programs worked out to our best interests. Often it is Mr. Steveson who brings the Chapel messages and we appre- ciate his stedfast adherance to the Word of God. ln addition to the rest of his heavy schedule he finds time to teach athletics to the boys each week and is always found on the football field or basketball court when the men of the Church play the school team. We Well remember When his enthusiasm in football caused him to bite the dust last fall. Because of his importance in our daily lives, academic progress, and spiritual growth, we wish to dedicate this 1968 PATRIOT to Mr. Pete Steveson, our principal. S. 1 Q Editor Chet Pohle Advisor MIS. Scott The purpose of an annual is to capture the highlights of a school year. With almost no experience, the annual staff has produced an annual twice the size of any previous year. With much hard work and gained experience we have attempted to make the 1968 PATRIOT an annual that would enable students to recall their year at CHRISTAIN HIGH. We have also tried to show how ou.r'school is Christ centered. Many times the staff went to the Lord in prayer, asking for guidance and direction so that we might put out a rewarding annual. Thank You, when written, contains eight lettersg when spoken often contains only air. Each day it is uttered over and over again to express some simple appreciation for some trivial favor. My appreciation is not small, for without the co-operation of many people, our annual would not exist. My thanks to: Mrs. Scott, who got the staff off to a tremendous start and for being a great advisor. Thanks to parents for patience and co-operation. Thanks to the faculty and administration for providing the staff with three periods a week to work on the annual Thanks to those who advertised in our yearbook. Thanks to the AMERICAN YEARBOOK COMPANY for a great book. Thanks to Mac Donalds hamburgers for helping us raise money.
