he 4 nfnllzr Some of the busiest students in school comprise the journalism class which published the semi-monthly newspaper, the Howler. Before the class, which is headed by Mr. W. Peterson, advisor, and lilmadale Gudgel, Editor, can gather and write the news they must first learn the basic principles of writing articles and the me- chanics of getting the paper to press. The staff is divided into dif- ferent fields. These fields include sports, features, editorials, art, and current events. Heading the various fields are Dellene Smith and Gaylinn Spence, assistant editors, Leo Taylor, sports, and Gharlote Woner, Art. Other members of the staff are Dawn De Vaurs, Pat McDowell, Virginia Rodman, Freida Garrison, Dee Sinclair, Elsie Gornaggia, Mimi Burcher, Sally Forrest, Barbara Beers, Oretha Williams, Jerry Askew, Wilda McRee, Garland Gentry, and Norma Bland.
