Celebration of Life l l Art is a celebration oflife for Fine Arts Department Chairperson Miriam Belfer. She is basically a painter, but has recent- ly related the qualities of her paintings to the batik process. Ms. Belfer,s recent batiks and drawings were displayed in the prestigious St. Phillips Gallery dur- ing the month of February. Her ideas originated from travels to Northern Ari- zona, Mexico, and Northern Italy, as well as, her research with the Mayan Culture. Other exhibitions have included the gal- leries of the Tucson Art Center, Pioneer Hotel, Pima College, and the Unitarian Church. 3 ..
