Mike, a new- comer to Cholla, stated that he was extremely proud and happy to repre- sent Cholla as Homecoming King. I couldn't believe they called my name! It was like I was dreaming and didn't know what to do. Mike enjoys play- ing soccer and tennis during his spare I 1 .-H r A..-ni. time. He intends to continue his edu- cation at a four-year university, hope- fully on a paid scholarship in tennis, and would like to turn professional by the age of 25. Homecoming Queen Lorrain Fisher has attended Cholla for four years and has been very active and involved in various school activities. I think ev- ery year Cholla gets better and better. Mike Danley and Lorraine Fisher The students seem to be more active and they have a lot more spiritf, Lor- raine also plans on attending a four year university. Homecoming Festivities The clock ran down and excitement filled the football field as Cholla de- feated Palo Verde 20 to 10. Chollals strength was not only in it's offense, defense and backfield, but it was the teamls overall polished performance. Senior fullback Trever Lee rushed 79 yards to score one touchdown in the second quarter, while David Sanders, senior halfback, successfully rushed 112 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. Coach Ed Brown felt that the whole team played well and said, It was a good win for homecoming? Student Court arranged for the use of seven corvettes from the f'Corvette Club of Tucson at halftime to dis- play homecoming nominees. Seniors Lorraine Fisher and Mike Danley were crowned '85 Homecoming royal- ty. They were driven around the track in a white Stingray Corvette. The successful Homecoming dance was held in the Commons Area, which was decorated and sposnored by Stu- dent Government. Breakdancers per- formed and D.J.
