145 Drama teacher, Ms. Marie Grumpka, has been teaching drama and English for three years. Ms. Grurnpka has two hours of drama, two hours of English and one hour of be- ginning drama. She is also working on her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. The main production of the year was, Out of the Frying Pan. Some of the main characters were, Danny Noyce - Junior, Carla Lip- pert - Senior, Steven Andreacola - Sophomore, Crystal Cooper - Sen- ior, Bobby Copper - Junior, and Noelle Files - Junior. There were twelve characters in Out of the Frying Pan,', and six of which were leads. Ms. Grumpka stated, The play was very successful. They hoped to expand the plays three nights eachf' Ms. Grumpkals future plans included doing a serious drama concerning young people. There were also stu- dents directing one act plays. The be- ginning drama class was better than what they have been in the past. Be- fore Christmas, the class presented performances at Manzo Elementary School, and put on a play for the ju- nior highs at Pistor and Maxwell. During the second half of the year the drama class put on a musical. It was the first production by Ms. Crumpka and Mr. Williamson. Top Right: Junior Noel Files.
