The offi- cers included Tiffanie Cahill CSeniorJ, Vice-President - Steve Anreacola CSophomoreJ, Treasurer - Joanne Corral fSeniorJ, and Secretary - Robin Runge CSeniorJ. The 15-member club wanted to make people aware of the hazards involved in driving drunk. Statistics showed that over 21 deaths occur daily from driving while intoxicated and that a high per- centage of deaths were people between the ages of 16 and 24. S.A.D.D. members did not condem drinking but the act of driving drunk. The students recom- mended that a parent-child contract be discussed in families which would en- courage teenagers to call their parents for a ride home from parties when one or more of their friends had been drinking heavily. The philosophy was, Friends don't let friends drive drunk, stated President Tiffanie Cahill. By Lisa Romo NHSXSADD Clubs 1 H 3

Club President Hugo Bond stated, There's a certain satisfaction you get from hiking that you can't get from any other hobby, knowing that your life depends on what you carry, the knowledge of how to use it, and that at any given time you could be in a bad situation. ltis a high that can't be topped but, itis not for everyone.
