NATIONAL HONOR-The goal of every senior is to achieve member- ship in the National Honor Society. As only fifteen per cent of our gradu- ating class is eligible for membership, students can secure this honor only by excelling in scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Of this number, five per cent of the class are especially honored in election as juniors. Junior members for the class of '44 were Blat: Ruth Pietila, John Indihar, Carol Lindstrom, Vir- ginia lwahan, Eleanor Kangas, George Tupac, and Patricia Auble. Junior members for the class of '45 are illuriel Saxhaug, NIayme lVIerila, Ralph Turtinen, Elaine Steffensrud, Delores Nlattson, and James Tupac. FIRST FOUR-Leading their class in scholastic abilities were the versatile seniors at the left. John Indihar, vale- dictorian, and Mae Ruth Pietila, salu- tatorian, were active in vocal and instrumental music respectively. Ger- aldine Sampson was especially inter- ested in the activities of the dramatics club and in deelamation contests. Bar- bara Wangensteen was a member of the Ranger and Bluestrealc staffs, de- bate team and accompanist of various singing groups. SENIOR COUNCIL-This year the senior council served their class- mates in their selection of class rings, folders, and invitations.

THE ERODELPHIAN-our girls' honor society, is the oldest organization serving the school. lt is every giris aim in high school to achieve a high scholastic average to insure her membership in the society. Again they proved their versality in a varied program of activities. This fall they presented A. A. 'MllHC.S delightful play, The Romantic Age. For their tradi- tional Ero Ball they transformed the gymnasium into a winter fairyland. Just before graduation they were hostesses at a social hour for all senior girls. At the Right We see our artistic members in their initial attempts to create a White Christmas for the tradi- tional Ero Ball. 0350
