,.. Af. WIZARD OF OZ A standing-room only crowd attended the two performances in March of 'che children's classic, Wizard of Oz. The play, starring Sally Beckham, Doug Lapp, Larry Dunagan, Pat Brantley, Irma Corpus, and Jacqui Dalton, tells of a young girl who, along with her dog and house, were swept to the land of OZ during a windstrom in Kansas. The plays deals with the attempts of the girl and her friends 'co kill the wicked witch of the East for the Wizard of Oz. In return, he would grant them their wish. ,,,.c-'- ' Ji '.'.fv

The Crucible A drama about the Salem fMass.j witch trials of 1692 began the theater season this year at Chino High School. 'fThe Crucible, a play by Arthur Miller, Starred David Jeffries as John Proctor and Pat Brantley as Abigail. In the play, Proctor falls imder the evil influence of Abigail, the witch, who is scheming to have many people she does not like accused of witchcraft. The trials in which 19 persons were burned, hung, or crushed as witches was one of the most unfortunate examples of justice during the seventeenth century in New England. q Aladdin and the 7 Wonderful ff: Lamp Aladdin and the Wonder- ful Lamp , an Arabian Nights classic, was enjoyed by children of all ages. The play centered around the adventures of Aladdin, a fellow who found a magic l. lamp which brought him riches, fame and a princess. The wicked magician, angry at the marriage, fails in his attempt to destroy Aladdin and his bride. Headlining the cast was Paul Foglesong as Aladdin, Barbara Beckman as Princess Barulbadur, Jann Cooley as the magician and Barbara Briones as the story- teller. ,fi l - HPS Ei :lf Q .. . 'nz W.
