Teresa Garcia and Rex Vestal called tops as poppy posters seen. Home economics gals and Girls' League hostesses be at annual Fashion Show and Tea. G.A.A. follows the trend of the previous day--gives in April Fool's dance that's clever and quite hey- ey! Farmers get ribbons, money and heifers in assem- bly on day when we felt first spring zephyrs. Annual chorus festival at Citrus is held by T.C.L. schoolsg much music, much fun, much laughter-- but not many rules! Three-act comedy given--'Tis lune Mad 7 Every- giing comes out right for Penny, Chuck, Mom and ad! Public Schools Week with three Open Houses: such publicity much spirit arouses. Frosh entertain with last dance of the year, spreading lot of hap- piness and cheer. The smart ones lCSF,that isl have two day spree at Lake Arrowhead where joy is unconfined and free. Wouldn't you know that these two would rate? Helen lest and Stan Tomlinson are first and second in the Class of '48. Chino gals are hostesses at softball playdayy the G. A. A.ers show them where the T.C.L. crown should stay. Band and chorus members get together in concert which everyone anticipates from time of the cur- tain's first flirt. Today is election day. Prepare for a struggle and a fray. Tonight's the night that belongs to the seniors. They perform and rate and prove our superiors. All the fellows enjoy that old Bean Feed. They play and eat to the full, indeed. The closing assembly 'today is held. The end of school is near. The thought of parting from friends seems so very queer. lunior fete the seniors with a banquet and prom so neat. The boys were very handsome lads, the girls so very sweet. This is the night that to all is consecrate. 'T is time for the seniors' baccalaureate. El Chasquis are out. Time to laugh and shout! Cet serious again. Pick up that paper and pen. Examinations-abominations. About this night we're in complete agreement. lt is the night. The seniors' Commencement.

Out of school for a day to celebrate the Mexican way. Cowboys start the football fight at Coachella this very night. Classes elect officers for the yearg some may shed a weary tear. El Chasqui staff gathered in to Mrs. Belmour's little den. Majorettes, song, cheer leaders try out while all the students sing and shout! T. C. L. football festival at Citrusg Cowboys eager to show fight for us. Future Farmers survive initiation-prove vigor for chosen occupation. Student Council holds first dance. All the students out to prance. Alumni here for Homecoming Day and to see the Bonita fray. At Citrus, G. A. A. play basketball-of course they were the best of all! Books were closed, so they say, that we might observe Armistice Day. G. A. A. initiatees were braided, painted, and such by the old members holding them in their clutch. With circus gayety as their theme, the sophs gave a dance that made folks beam. Basketball season begins right now-and con- tinued with victories-and how! We are out of school for just two days to add to the Thanksgiving praise. Future 1-lomemakers' dance in store, and Christ- mas is knocking on our door. Music department gives their presentation the night before Christmas vacation. Senior-lunior prom topic of all conversation. For- mals and best manners dusted off for the occasion. F.H.A. initiatees were fed-much spaghetti and garlic bread. Corona host to speedball girls who came home with all the victors' curls. Paletteers celebrate St. Valentine's day by giving a dance very pretty and gay. Lincoln's birthday gives us holiday. Marilynne Shanks, orator, is the very best at the Barstow district speech contest. Seniors skip school for day in the mountains, where there was skiing, and hiking' and lots of tobbogans. Vaqueros win T.C.L. laurels--gave it to Bonita with both barrels. Cowkids champs too, right out of the blue! Track tennis, and baseball begin. Sports do make all the world akin.
