TEN DERFEET FRESHMAN OFFICERS Fritz Huqemann - Vice-President Robert Wort - President Gloria Von Kennel- Secretary Three hundred eighteen freshmen, the largest number ot tenderfeet ever to be cor- ralled at Chillicothe High School, entered into the stockade in September. This herd of students chose as their leaders Bob Wort for president, Fritz Hagemann, vice presi- dent and Gloria Von Kennel, secretary. Eugene Miller received the only football letter awarded to the freshmen. Other tender- feet in the football corral were Adam Alex- ander, Richard Arledge, Dan Brundige, loe Black, Dick Cutright, Gilbert Graves, Merle Hollis, Bill Kane, Kent Kirkwood, Charles McRoberts, Eugene Maser, Eugene Rittinger, Walter Rossiter, lohn Shearrow, Robert Stew- art. The freshmen football managers were Bob Wort, Ivan Shatter, and Paul Rawlins. Freshnien playing in the basketball stockade were Richard Arledge, Dan Brundige, Gilbert Graves, Harold Hater, Fritz Hagemann, Kent Kirkwood, Robert Lawhorn, Ned McCarty, Eldon Miller, lohn Gverman, lohn Shearrow, Robert Stewart, Bob Wort, and George Won- derleigh. The tenderfeet furnishing entertainment for the rodeo in the band were Ronald Bethel, Robert Lawhorn, Bonnie Tatman, Fritz Hage- mann, Marilyn Carver, Robert Zoeller, Iohn Freeland, Mary Ellen Mcllvaine, Mary Clark, lack lmmler, Robert Tuvell, and Iohn Wita- meyer. More music was furnished by the Glee Club, the freshmen members ot which were Ronald Bethel, lack lmmler, Paul Raw- if lins, Robert Wort, Charles lennings, George Vlfonderleigh, and Ned McCarty. Ned Mc- Carty was also the only tenderfoot to ride with the Mixed Choir. Bonnie Tatman, Pat Howe, and lean Speakman, were the ninth graders in the orchestra. The apprentice cow- girls in the Freshman Ensemble, chosen from the Girls' Chorus for their outstanding vocal ability, were Ruth Balough, Betty Cartmell, Marge Hockenberry, Marilyn Hinkle, Mar- garet Vernia, Phyllis Wilson, Pauline Cocker- ell, lean Milliken, and Betty Ann Paul. Bar- bara Stark accompanied them on the piano. Tenderfoot girls of the Anderson Choir were Marie Beverley. Charlene Brown, Mar- garet Hitchens, lacqueline Menetee, Mao Kelly, Nancy Thomas, Margaret Roberts, Gladys Brandon, Helen lohnson, and Ester Locklear. After most of us had safely con- quered the bucking exam bronco, twenty- five QB boys and girls joined us in lanuary. Our Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y clubs got into action with Bob Wort as president of the Hi-Y club, and Fritz Hagemann vice-president, Iohn Shearrow secretary, and lohn Overman treasurer. The Tri-Hi-Y club was led by president Marilyn Carver, vice-president Rosemary Fox, treasurer Ioyce Wood, and secretary Marge Hockenberry. After weath- ering all the rigorous training of our tender- foot year, we are eagerly looking forward to being full-fledged cowboys and cowgirls. Page Twelve
