of the ent1re unxverse turned on the tele radlo We heard an advert1sement for
shoeshop ID Chlldersburg Its owner IS Carolyn Shoemaker who IS the best shoe
maker IH the world We were dxsappolnted when a fuse was blown and we could
not hear Davxd Basset slng classxcal muslc and lxght opera on h1s program over
statxon WACKY 1n C1nc1nnat1 But Thomas Tyler who st1ll makes h1s own enter
tamed us by telllng about the good fortune of some of our old classmates He
lnformed us that Glenda Baxley IS queen of the dance ln the flylng saucer Caba
ray where she does a trlpsneaze act three tlmes a day He also told us about
Hellon Bean who tours the unxverse teachlng speech classes how to glve The
Nlght Before Chrlstmas ln choral readlng
We were Just thlnklng about how well most of our class was doxng when we
heard the Jets of the shxp stop chargxng and we knew that Brush Maddox our
navxgator had fouled up the controls A moment later we felt a terr1f1c crash
and felt ourselves bounclng around on the 1ns1de of the sh1p whzch fortunately WHS
made of foam rubber We had crash landed on Mars and 30 seconds later every
one except Glorxa Armbrester the recrultlng off1cer for the U S Strato Marlnes
was found unhurt Atomlc rad1at1on had caused all her Jolnts to bend backwards
Hearal Guess the cxrcus strong man carrxed her to Ann Kldd s Ch1roprat1c
Cl1n1c where she was g1ven an adjustment The head nurse Mary Ann Gr1ce
used hlpmotxsm wh1ch cured her lnstantly
W1th th1s taken care of we went on to the beautxful oxygen condltxoned motel
Sam Breyer two very promlnent buslness men 1n th1s day and t1me We unpacked
and then went on to the Grand Plaza a huge assembly hall where our reunlon was
held
There we met all our class mates we had seen durlng the day and all the others
except Shlrley Traylor who had to stay home and take care of her blcycle shop It
was amaz1ng how many famous persons came from our class Jeanette Wallen
fang 1S the owner of the L1ttle Galaxme school of vo1ce She teaches movxe stars
to talk w1th a Southern accent Margle Parker manufactures holes to go ln dough
nuts and Eugenla V1ncent puts the outsxde around them Gerome Henson plays
football at Bryants 1n Tuscaloosa and Frelda May IS st1ll cheerlng hlm on Omle
Wall1s wrote a book whxch she called The Fog just after she f1n1shed hlgh school
and th1s year she flnally persuaded the world known publlshers V1rg1nxa HOIIIS
and Rebecca Breedlove to publlsh lt
We were hav1ng a swell t1me at the reunlon fmdlng out such facts as that
Thelma Maxwell and Sara Hardeman were part owners 1n the Sneaze Snuff Com
pany and that Helen Edwards was a happy l1ttle housewlfe and the mother of seven
ch1ldren st1ll l1v1ng 1n our old home town on earth Then James I-hll the famous
toastmaster remmded us that we had to get up early the next mormng 1n order to
catch our rocket back to earth After thls the party broke up
The next mornlng comlng back to earth Faye Kldd and Margaret Bennett the
two space guxdes got lost ln the fog but never fear they were rescued by one of
our best ant1 grav1ty pollcewomen Patsy Wllson She recelved an automatlc
controlled robot made by Dorothy Cleckler as a reward for this brave deed
When we got back to earth and I started thmkxng about how all my class mates
had made somethlng of themselves I dec1ded that xt was tune for me to quxt
spongmg off my parents so I am golng to go out and look for a Job tomorrow
Why knows maybe I can get one as Jamtor on thls telecast show'

Ladles and gentlemen For the flrst t1me 1n h1story a class reunlon was held
on Mars and lwas 1nv1ted to tell you about lt Part of the transportat1on was
furnxshed by John Becks Super .Tet XX rocket sh1p whxch he xnvented hlmself Our
space sults were made by the very capable deslgner Em1ly Cllett Some of the
people to get on at the f1rst stop were Nell Templeton who sxngs commerc1als
about the wonders of Cosmo Chewlng Gum and Donald Bacon the manufacturer
of the new wonder drug Aches and Palns asplrrn espec1a1ly developed for
a1l1ng football players
At the second stop the glamorous Gen1e Gardner got on board She leads the
band at Sllpaslurp College where Delano Lee has the Job of pol slung the major
ettes boots He just loves h1s work Betty Fannin the famous movxe star who
plays at all the drwe 1n theatres had some sad news to tell us She says that one
of our old class mates Glen Alexander was d1sappo1nted 1n a deep love affaxr
and went back to the woods where he now practxces the manly art of hog calllng
Wh1le we were thus engaged 1n conversatlon we looked out the w1ndow and happened
to see Roscoe Lxmbaugh dxgglng up cotton stalks 1n space and Lamar Hall f1sh1ng
for shrlmp w1th a baseball bat 30 llght years ago
At thls polnt we found that our fuel was low and we stopped at Carrol Hurst s
Fzsson Fllllng Statlon where you can get a complete uramum change 1n flve
mlnutes The place was easy to flnd because 1t was ln the flrst cloud bank to the
left of James Hart s tavern
We had Just started on our way agaxn when a flash of llght and a puff of smoke
streaked by but we were not alarmed because we knew that 1t was only Charles
Watters demon of the speedways followed by Carolyn Mauldxn the undertaker
who always has an eye open for busmess
Our attentxon was rweted back 1HSlde the shxp by the sound of Barbara Owmgs
who had made mxllxons on her latest book How To Get That Streamllned Fxgure
plcklng an argument wxth VIVIBH Presley Inventor of the Cosmo reducing method
She belxeves only m the two way stretch plan Thxs argument was shocked 1nto
sxlence by the sxght of Sally Green wh1zzmg by on her Jet propelled motor scooter
She was late for work agaln at Charlotte Thompson s cheeseburger stand and
almost ran 1nto the ant1 gravlty space sxgn announcmg that Leon Edgeworth was
runnmg agamnst Robert Reeves for the post of Presxdent of Mars
