A MA 615 MOMENT TEPES4 MO!! CPOWNED E They all stood silently on the field. Each candidate was awaiting the announcement of the 1987 homecoming queen. Under the long dresses, you could not see their knees shaking - but they were. The short time you have to wait until the name of the queen is announced seems like a lifetime. Finally the winner is announced but there are no tears of sadness because it is quite an honor to be nominated by your class and to represent them on the field in front of usually the largest crowd at any home game. It really is a magic moment for the queen and the candidates. The queen is decided by popular vote. Each class chooses one candidate and the four are then voted on by the entire high school student body. This year Miss Teresa Moss, Junior, was crowned homecoming queen. Teresa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Moss and is a very active student. She participates in all sports, is a cheerleader and an honor student. The class of 1946 was honored this year and Mrs. Mary Jane Ra- mos was coming home queen and Mr. Bill Manning was king. Senior nominee and accident vic- tim was Miss Judy Anderson es- corted by Mr. Rick Morales. Judy had to hobble on the field because of a broken ankle. Miss Lisa Buckner, soph- omore nominee, was es- corted by Mr. Todd Low. Escorted by Mr. Trent Teague is freshman can- didate, Miss Leah Hughes. qv . . gmsraqiargf.-Quan-my .w.mwr A 'M K
