Chico High's J. C, L. is a part of the national Latin club of the same name, and with its 130 members has one of the largest clubs in the coun- try. ln order to belong, a student must take Latin and have at least a C grade. With the help and direction of Mrs. Anne Cowan, the club adviser, the members had an initia- tion party in.October, an open house in February to display projects made by each student, and a picnic in May. Most of the meetings have featured a speaker Who presents talks to help prepare the students for college and various vocations. J. C. L. is also one of Chico I-ligh's oldest and most respected organizations. Snap at the open house in February to display projects made by each student.
