T 'Q I :I 1 Prinezknzlis ,Message Chester High School's Class of 1958 will be interesting to watch in the future years. Those who have done well during their four years at CHS should continue to do well. Others have the potential to succeed: the question is, Will they? New situations and new challenges should have their effects on many. It is my belief that the class will depend upon the ability of the potentials to adjust to the life beyond high school. Yours truly, Orsen P. Ioly Superintendent? Message To the Class of 1958: Congratulations, on your graduation from and contributions to Chester High School. Is Chester High School a good school? Your future successes and failures as you continue your education and take your place in our community life will, in large measure, answer this question better than any other criteria yet devised. As you continue your education and assume your position in the adult community life many adjustments will need to be made. These adjustments have not been easy for us to make, and they may not be easy for you. Greater responsibilities and a greater freedom will be yours. I am confident that you are capable of assuming this responsibility and freedom and in making these adjustments. Charles P. Signed and sealed on this 2nd Day of February in the year of our Lord Nineteen hundred and fifty eight. J. Allan R. van Schaick V. Stowell J. Wright News hungry gossip columnist Eva Suojanen, strolling along a Hollywood street, was suddenly startled to see a flash of red hair bobbing in the crowd. Yelling Hey, you strapl Alice drew Dawn Hopkins attention and no time was wasted developing a lively conversation about. . .of course the illustrious class of '58. Alice, having remained in contact with nearly all the class, gave Dawn a quick rundown of the hot dope. Some items overheard: Ernie Abbott was in the Marines with the rank of Master Sergeant and had been married three times. QWe asked Ernie for confirmation and got this reply Son, your records aren't up to date.1 Nate Adams had recently been found living for twenty -two years with the pygmies in darkest Africa It seems he was a navigator in the U.S. Air Force and had gotten lost. Nate was very happy though. During his stay, he had grown a beard. After hearing that Dale Henry had a longer one, he said, 1'm going to spend another twenty years in this jungle. James Allan lives in Greenwich Village because he can wear his hair in any style he likes without people, except of course the tourists, looking at him as if he had two heads. Upon learning that he painted for a living, Dawn had asked him if he painted landscapes. James replied, Eh, no, buildings. Richard Baker is a Master Sergeant in the Marines. He and Ernie are trying to see who will quit first. Florena is back from a missionary village in Africa. Florena told Eva that she heard some of the craziest stories. One was that a bearded white man was living with the pygmies and the natives call him Tarzan. Skip Colburn lives on Hawkes Mountain, unmarried, but not alone. fHe's raising Irish setters.J Bette models for a contact lens firm. Billy Guy is now trading space ships instead of cars. The Harts are planning to blow up Weston. This will be the second time Weston has been shook up this way. Dale's planning to catch Nate and use a pair of scissors on him. Howard Henry's, an accotmtant, and Allan Hodge is a ski bum. John Davison is still collecting fenders and doors, singularly and by pairs. Bud Jarvis has replaced The Round Ho1md and The Square. Bear as disk jockeys at WCRF. Van Schaik is a failure. fConfirmation from Rolf, Yes, I am, butl plann it that way. J Clarence Jelley has his own school. Diane Mackey is claiming that she'll never die, because people like her live forever. Andrew Ojanen is in the wine producing business. fHe does his own sampling, boys.J Lois Mininger lectures on the 8 bad effects of alcohol. She uses Merrick and Willard as examples. Joyce Allen, Wen- dell Beattie, Lucinda Bridgeo, Ellen Danforth, Robert Underhill, James Suojanes, Judy and Joyce Phelps are married. fEditor's note: If you read Tabby in the Chatter you can take educated guesses as to whom.j Heading also down the matrimonial trail are Hazel Davis, Joanne Nason, Ginny Mowery, and Carol Selmer. fThese girls had a taste of a career first.J Marion is another Annie Oakley: Robert M. , a teacher: Carol L. , a caterer: Bea-ann models her own fashions. These last few individuals neither Alice nor dawn knew about. Therefore, I shall fill in what I can. Nothing has been heard of Lois Rogers since graduation: Polly and Ginny Stowell are teachers at C.l-l. S.: Beverly, Janice, Eleanor and Carnie are nurses. Mary Ziesche is a dietician.
