This course provides training in three major areas of business: Secretarial, Accounting and Distributive Education. Science Department 1MTXZ. EI.AINE B. DORIAN The Science Department of Chester High School, headed by Mr. Robert Smith, provides students with a much needed knowledge in the highly com- petitive field of science. Through class- room instructions and experimental find- ings, the students are able to enlarge their understanding of theories. The program of this fine depart- ment includes: biology, chemistry, phys- ics, general science, psychology, and pho- tography. Students who devote their at- tention to these courses graduate with a broader knowledge of the physical world. Mr. R. Smith looks on as students work on a problem in astronomy.

Distributive Education, under the direction of Mr. Raymond Schweet, provides students with an opportunity to use in actual business situations the techniques which are demonstrated in class. In this course mornings arc devoted to instruction and afternoons are spent working at jobs which are secured for students through the school. Unlike many courses, Dis- tributive Education is able to provide on-the-job training with classroom activities. Now, this coat is made to last,” explains J. Reilly, a Distributive Ed.
