Administrators CHARLES D. LONG Superintendent of Schools The school programs of Chester are directed by Mr. Charles D. Long, Superintendent; Mr. John J. Vaul, Assistant Superintendent; and Mr. Joseph M. Joseph, Coordinator of Curricula in Public Education. These programs are arranged to give each pupil every opportunity of securing the best possible advantages of education. Industriously they set about to manage school problems, to institute new educational programs, to carefully select textbooks and equipment needed for educational advancement, and to se- cure a suitable curriculum for the students. Through the efforts of these administrators’ educational program, the students are better able to achieve their goals so that they may become an asset to the community. JOHN J. VAUL Asst. Pennington. The Board of Education lays the basic foundation on which the school oper- ates. Each member of the Board is a behind-the-scene person who endeavors to give each student the best education, various opportunities in the field of his interest, and to remunerate the citizens of the community by keeping good schools and returning fine, responsible citizens to the community. The programs designed by the Board provide each student with a cultural background, as well as a well- rounded education; and healthful social activities. The school and the Board of Education work together for the welfare of every student, and every resident of the city of Chester. 9
