DEDICATIO Teacher, master coach, builder of team and school spirit never before ex- perienced at Chester High School, recipient of the 1954 St. Roberts Outstanding Coaches Award, the 1955 Ohev Sholom Award for Brotherhood Week, Robert B. Forwood exemplifies the finest in devotion to his duties, and in ability and true human understanding. Therefore, we the Class of 1955, proudly and most appreciatively dedicate our Annual to him. A graduate of Prospect Park High School and West Chester State Teachers College, Mr. Forwood received a Master's Degree at Temple University in 1950. He began his teaching career at the Deveraux School and later taught at Clifton Heights High School where he developed his first championship basketball team. He came to Chester High School in 1942. Mr. Forwood served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946 where he saw service in the Pacific as a Lieutenant Returning to Chester High, he resumed his position as physical education instructor and assistant basketball coach. ln 1953, he was named head coach. Since that time, his teams have established historic records at Chester High. The 1954 basketball team won the Suburban 1 District 1 and Eastern Penn- sylvania State Championship. In 1955, Mr. Forwood's team again repeated in Suburban 1, District 1, and for the second year won the Eastern Pennsylvania State Championship. Mr. Robert B. Forwood stands as a symbol to all at Chester High. His magnificent coaching record, his outstanding teaching, his high character-all serve for the betterment of our community. I 1' V ' ' M'

As you disem- laark on its enchanted shore may there be a song in your heart, a song of faith and hope. Go forth in the knowledge that if God is with you, no one can be against you.
