Ever since its organization in 1934, Student Council has worked toward the promotion of better school spirit, a more direct cooperation between teachers and students, and the encouragement of greater participation in school activities. Council sponsors an all-school election program, dances, pep rallies, collections for charitable organizations and needy families, clean-up cam- paigns, and other projects which will benefit our students and our school. The Student Council is composed of three governing groups-the Senate, which is composed of five council officers and ten senators, the Court, which consists of six members who, like the senators are elected by the student body: the House of Representatives, which is made up of two members chosen from each homeroom. These governing bodies work together for the benefit of the whole school. A NEW VENTURE-our CHS student store. Nancy Wright, Doris Lightcap, and Betty Hollywood proudly display our wares.
