However, our TuTure seemed as dismal as The ensuing war years. Even in The TirsT years oi high school, many changes Took place. Each day we saw more and more classmaTes laying down Their books To pick up arms, and The greaT demand Tor workers Took many oTher sTudenTs. Our Tour years in senior high school were filled wiTh acTiviTies, which, as a rule, do noT exisT during peaceiime: buT we persevered in Bond, Red Cross, War ChesT, and Blood Donor drives.
