High Ranking Team Offensive backfield; Scot Uthe, Todd Augustad, Dan Nold, Tom Schlotterback, and Dan Minnaert. This group rushed for over 3,000 yards and 47 TD's (of 59 total). Todd led with 1140 yards and 21 TD's rushing and also passed for 3 touchdowns. Handling the linebacker duties were Dale Nugent, Randy Shaver, Dan Minnaert and Todd Augustad. Randy was the team tackle leader. The defensive secondary starters were Brad Bargmann, Dan Schoepf and Tom Schlotterback. Dan's 6 interceptions led the group. Randy Shaver was named to the first team on both the Argus-Leader and Sportswriters All-State Squads at offensive guard. Honorable mention went to Todd Augustad, Dan Schoepf, and Doug Leisinger. It was a year of outstanding senior leadership. All players were committed to unselfish team play, without regard for personal glory or honors. This squad was a team in the finest sense of the word.
