One of the biggest money raising projects was the KELO Supershooters vs. the Chester Faculty Eight Balls. There was a large turn out for this event. The Supershooters downed the Eight Balls 89-81. The highlight of the night for the students was the defeat of their teachers. The Christmas concert was quite a success. Some of the selec- tions were Christmas music for Winds , Jesu, Joy, of Man's Desire , and National Emblem . 15

Fifteen freshmen earned their Greenhand degree and eleven sophomores moved up th the Chapter Farmer degree. Two sen- iors earned the State Farmer degree which is given at the State Convention. Members raised money for chapter activities by selling fruit and raffling a shotgun. Chester Chapter of the FFA received a Building Our Ameri- can Communities grant from the Rural Rehabilation fund of the Department of Agriculture and is planning to rebuild an old basketball court at the Chester School. The years activities ended with a parent-member banquet and the State Convention and contest at Brookings in the spring. 17
