Not Pictured: Tami Limmer. Superior Drum Ensemble: David Holbeck and Chad Hohwieler. Donna says, 'Walk this way. The Band spent many weeks on field marching as preparation for next years competition. One of the biggest money raising projects was the KELO Supershooters vs. the Chester Faculty Eight Balls. There was a large turn out for this event. The Supershooters downed the Eight Balls 89-81. The highlight of the night for the students was the defeat of their teachers. The Christmas concert was quite a success. Some of the selec- tions were Christmas music for Winds , Jesu, Joy, of Man's Desire , and National Emblem . 15

Under the direction of Mr. Donald Downs, the band traveled to Madison to participate in the Large Group Band Con- test on April 2nd, and received a unani- mous first rating. We performed, Russian Chorale , Toccato For Band , and Black Horse Troop. For the spring con- cert, the band played 'Irish Tune from County Derry , and 'Testivo in addition to the three selections played at the band conetst. The Jazz Band and Swing Choir presented a concert of lighter pop tunes. A new addition to the music department, the Jazz Band has radiated its own sparkling rhythm throughout the school, and hopes to continue growing and showing their talents as the beat goes on.
