Proving that there are exceptions to every proverb and adage, the members of the class of ’84 totally shattered the SOPHOMORE SLUMP” myth. Starting the year with a grade level splash party at the Barclay Pool, the Sophs were in fine shape when Spirit Week arrived. The theme of the 1950’s-'Happy Days,” returned East to the days of bobby sox, letter sweaters, pony tails and loafers. The crowning moment of the week was unquestionably the rising of the soda shoppe. Although we were surprised at our first place victory in Spirit Week, we were proud to have achieved a level of participation which continued throughout the year. Looking into the future, with two of our best years of high school awaiting us, we are unified and ready, driven by a spirit that should carry us to notoriety as juniors and seniorsl Douglas Lyons Assistant Principal Cla”0''84 Class Officers Mr. Lyons-Assistant Principal.
