Sharing is a major theme running through the souls of the students at East. Whether it’s donating blood for a blood drive, offering help to a lost freshman, or dropping a few coins into the class treasury to support the King and citizens in need dominated the annual P.A.L. Christmas Party. The smiles and satisfaction that covered the faces of the children made all the hours of preparation worthwhile. Know- ing that you made someone happy if only for an hour or a day or a week justifies the few missed assignments. Knowing that you re- lieved the pain and suffering of a fellow man gives a sense of security and goodness to all the participants. Man never stands so high as when he stoops to help another.” «1

Concerrs The Cougar Choru5e5. led by Mrs. Barbara Solly and Mrs. Fletcher sing songs of different countries from classical to modern music. They en hance our school by participating in the spring musical and singing in the various school concerts throughout the year. In general, the choruses raise their voices in song to express man's love, desires, and goals. They help us to see that music is a vital part of the world and that life is just a note on the stanzas of time.
